TECH TIP: The fill plugs on aftermarket rear end covers are not to be used as fill lines. Mustangs only require between 2-3 quarts of rear end fluid. Filling to the top of the fill plug will take more than 4 quarts of lube! Many cars that come into our shop with these covers are usually overfilled with gear lube which can cause problems with the rear end like blown out seals, not to mention a greasy undercarriage.
